Men and women differ in how they decide which strangers they can trust.
Men tend to trust people who are part of a group with them. Women, on the other hand, are more likely to trust strangers who share some personal connection, such as a friend of a friend.
The motivation of security. People trust those similar to themselves because of fear and insecurity, the thought of facing situations they aren't prepared for, and reducing risk in their lives. People want security, and find security in things they know and understand.
They say trust is hard to gain,but easy to lose and impossible to get it back.
I agree with this. To me, trust means to be able to put your feelings, your deepest secrets in the hand of the other person and know that no matter what, they will respect you as much as not to betray you.And to say your deepest secrets..it takes a lot of risk and courage to do.
Many people don't trust anyone for this very reason. They will never let others know ..so they stay in the dark.
Having friends to trust means the world! And yes! Sometimes even they betray you as well.
Because we are only human. We aren't perfect..never were, never will be.
And when you lose that trust, you close up. You say: never again! But you still do.
Because time washes pain away and you slowly forget...or maybe you just don't want to remember anymore.
Life is complicated, strange..Hard! But do we have a choice?!
Trust is a part of life, of making friends..connecting with people...and this means living your life and pursuing happiness.
Someone I've met the other days told me: "With the power of the mind..you can move mountains! " So actually you can even "feel" either to trust that someone or not.Because sometimes actions are just not enough to know...but when the time is right..you know! And you trust!:)
